When King David desired to have a moment of peace he would pull out his harp and began singing a song to the Lord. It was his release, his way of expression. Man from the very beginning has had within them the desire to sing, play, and hear music. God placed within us that desire of a melody. A tune that will change a gloomy day to bright sunshine.

Our Music Program

Psalm 9:1 (KJV)
1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.

Psalm 9:2 (KJV)
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

We sing praise and worship to the King of Kings. We offer a sacrfice of praise by the giving of a song to Him from our hearts. We sing songs not for recognition or self praise, but all the glory is to our Father as we prepare ourselves for worship.

Our Worship Leader, Enrique Sanchez

The Psalmist David came with a harp, today we come with a guitars, drums, piano, and other percussion instruments. Add to that the major ingrediant, an anointed leader and you have the key for true worship.

Enrique and his wife Jerrilyn come to us by the way of Family Worship Center in Anchorage.  Both of these young people are a blessed addition to our work here.  Enrique also works with the youth and children.

KOREAN MINISTRIES

The Kotzebue Community is blessed to be the home of several families of Koreans. They own and operate a variety of businesses.

We have been honored to have some of the families make Kotzebue Church of God their church home. They are a blessing to our congregation and have done much to enhance our church family.

Women's Ministries

One of the busiest groups in our church is the Women's Ministries Group.  Under the leadership of Jerrilyn Sanchez, this group has put helping others first in the priorty of things to be accomplished.
